A multiplayer variation of that when trying to get a bribe, is just to hit F1, select new character, then choose the same character that you were playing. There ya go, new bribes. This also works when you have inadvertently made friendly NPCs hostile in space. When you come back as the same character, they have forgotten your transgressions.
