Jumpgate to base

Jumpgate to base

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum section but I thought it should go here as it contains a sort of spoiler.

Right I was working on my new mod, which uses the alaska (the one where you resue Jacobi) system, I have several bases inside Zone 21 (yeah found a way through the minefield). Anyway I had to customise the name of my second Jumpgate to Alaska as Freelacer locks any gate thats called Li01_toLi05.

I tried setting the Jumpgate to take me to Prison station mitchel instead of another gate, what I got was an endless jumptunnel. This only happened when the defined destination object wasn't a jumpgate.

Is there a way to edit Freelancer so so jump destinations don't have to be Jumpgates?

I think there are mods that unlock locked jump gates.

It's an alternative since I don't think there's a mod that allows such a thing. After all, it would be a one way trip.

I have an idea. Open solararch.ini, go down to this entry. Copy it and make a few changes -

Now give Mitchell this new entry instead of the old one. It might not work, and even if it does, it would be a one way trip, but it's all I can think of

You can use a jump base. You create a base that when you dock you are sent to Mitchell becuase you set dock with base field to Mitchell you can make it look like a hole or a gate.
