*SPOILERS* Concerning Loot Ships in Open Game

I was wondering if it is a result of some of the mods I've played or if it is just part of the game, but I've discovered the lootable ships in the game appear to respawn their loot. Is this "standard"?

I've looted ships, and gone off to do other things and come back to them, and the loot is there again! Anyone else?

its happened to me b4 as well it happens on evol 1.27 one of the ships in the florida systems has rubies onboard which are worth 1million on manhatten and every once in a while the rubies respawn.

Although the loot does respawn, it seems that each ship keeps track of who looted it. So if you've looted it once, though the guns come back, you can't loot it again.

Its a 'fairness' thing. On multi-player, they respawn once in a while so you don't get those greedy people who loot them all and sell them or those noobs who loot them all and die Therefore, it keeps multiplayer power balanced and not just a small few who have looted guns but everyone is capable of getting them.

Is it me, or does everyone hate Rhineland? I mean, give them a chance! They only hunt you for about 99.9[% of the Single Player! Thats good....right? I mean, they could hunt you for ALL the Single Player.....right?.....hello?

You quickly pick up the trick with multiplayer though - the loot respawns when the server is reset. Intelligent players contact the admin to find out when resets happen, and can position themselves favourably a few minutes beforehand
