If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

I've been playing Freelancer for over a year, and even now, I'm STILL finding things that I didn't know about.

My most memorable example is spotting a transport convoy wandering off into nowhere in the Kyushu sytem... Questioning them revealed that they were headed for a 'Nansei Research Station' that was not on the regular tradelane route. So I followed them and found a station that I hadn't realised was there, and yet I had been in Kusari space for a good few real-time hours, wandering around blowing away GCs for cash. (Cool station too, with all those excellent tie-fighter-like solar panels).

So what was the longest that YOU had been playing before you found a new jump hole, hidden base or planet?

(Moved from general discussion due to spoilers)

I've had this game for a couple of months now and I tend to find new thigns every day. A couple weeks ago I found Planet Hades and Planet Cerberus in sigma 17 (or was it 19). They're two large methane gas giant in the Edge Nebula cloud at the top of the map. They're very close together (only a couple of K apart), and the info tell you that it's unknown how they came to be that way.

Then last week I found a planet in Omicron Alpha near the Unknown jump hole. Apparently it's teeming with life, but the organisms rely on a substance that is a deadly poisonous to humans.

I've started playing the single player again, but with a mod that cuts the story (so you play it like multiplayer), and in the independant worlds alone there's about 10 pirate bases I didn't know about, Pacifica in Bering, Montezuma in Cortez, Padau in Galileo, the list goes on.

I still haven't been to the bottom Unknown system, that's one place I need to go. I'm aiming with my single player character to fully map the universe.

I had been playing for about 3 months before I discovered Nome Base in Kepler. Now it's one of my favourite hiding places, cos there are plenty of people who don't know about it

i've been playing FL for over a year now, and i never really bothered to explore the inner systems - i loved the borderworlds, the omicrons, omegas etc, because it's so beautiful out there. just a couple of days ago i stumbled across the lane hackers in kepler, and found communities in systems i thought virtually empty

i've been playing FL for over a year as well, finding fuchu planetoid was interesting and of course the prison next to it as the pay was quite high there in a mod i played on

That reminds me - BPA Newgate. I heard rumours about it in Manchester and read the news article about it, but couldn't find it. Eventually I found it when I was knocked off course, playing with a 6000 cruise speed mod

Yeah, I've been playing for over a year and also only recently found Nansei in Kyushu. pretty cool actually, but I bet it's the last new thing I'll find

My sensors indicate a planet in the nebula near planet Honshu, but I cant reach it because my sensors lose it.

I didn't discover Kansai for a while. It just never occured to me to take that tradelane from Yukawa. Plus, I didn't find myself in Honshu very often

Been playing for over a year and a half and found Graves Station in Dublin just last week. I spend most of my time in to borderworlds, but i don't spend much time exploring in the House systems since i only go where i need and rarely have a chance to look around.

Usually find new stuff quite frequently. I like the unknown system with the Planet of the Apes and the Robot Planet.

You can bounce off the atmosphere easyer than the sun. Too close to that , and Boom!
