Well, since this is the spoiler forum, I suppose we can tell you.

The green parts on the map are where the Omicron systems, They are the home to the Outcasts and the Corsairs. You can get to these systems but you have to find the right jumpholes and study where Outcast and Corsair patrols meet at in dust clouds, those are usually jump holes. To get to the Outcasts (they are on the upper side of the green, go to the borderworlds between Bretonia and Kusari, then explore until you find a jumphole that leads to "Omicron *something*". To get to the Corsairs, go the "southeast" portion of Rhineland and look for a Jumphole that goes to "Omicron *something*" (as you can see I haven't been there for awhile).

NOTE: Be sure you are either really friendly with the Outcasts/Corsairs (depends on where you are going) or the Bounty Hunters (whom frequent the systems). You probably want to be on the good side of the Outcasts/Corsairs because they sell you the awesome Sabre VHF (Outcasts) or the bolvine Titan VHF (Corsairs)

I just wanna say welcome, and I suggest you join corsairs(read other post in other forum to find out why). Plus I love their ship. Pretty slow, but pays the enemy with enough firepower.

There are jumpgates to Omega 11 and Sigma 19/17, the gateways to the Omicron systems, but from there it's all jumpholes

The Edge Nebula is home to the two largest criminal organisations in Sirius, as well as hunter-confirmed reports of alien activity.

Only veteran hunters are permitted to hunt in this region, and only then for sizeable bounties. A hotbed of radiation, and under-skilled pilots may not survive the cream of the Corsair/Outcast crop, let alone the alien ships. You may also find freelance pirates and smugglers taking residence in the area; highly dangerous foes.

ha ha ha. I like hunting nomads. Biggest challenge ever. But, the radiation can kill you. If you kepp using nano bots to repair, you will just loose all your equipment because nano bots don't repair those.

Try getting an eagle VHF before you get to the omicrons, it's in omicron theta at freeport 10 or 9 (I can't remember). The zoners sell it, and theyre friendly to most, and the system has just as many bounty hunters as criminals, so it's fairly safe (provided the bounty hunters like you). It's all jump holes though, so happy hunting! Oh, and stop by a certain debris field in Omicron Alpha, you'll be pleasently surprised. --- VH16

What about the Saber? The Corsairs are barely neutral (almost hostile) on my reputation scale...will they still sell me a Saber?

No, because the Corsairs don't sell the Sabre

Try Vogtland Base, Dresden (Hessians) or Planet Malta, Omicron Alpha (Outcasts) for the Sabre

Bounty Hunter Jackson , are there any BH bases in the Outcasts' home system,
i. e. , Planet Malta ? (I can't remember the system name right now).
By the way , I used the BH Barracuda also through the Kusari part of the SP
game. I think it's cockpit view is one of the very best at giving you a clear
view both in front and to both sides. I recently replayed part of that segment
with a Drake , which I very shortly traded back in for the Barracuda.
