Coded Guns and Equipment

Alright,
we've all heard about the coded guns and how they work wonders,but does anyone have all the stats?

They're not really anything special...great damage, but high energy cost, long refire time, and sloooow projectiles. Statistically speaking, the Skyblast B beats the top two Codename guns, as does the Kraken II(I think), in damage per second(the energy costs are also a bit lower for those two weapons, being class 9 instead of class 10). Some people like the Codenames because they're free, but it's almost a ripoff since even a VHF can evade the shots from them. Use the above mentioned class 9 weapons instead.

I don't recall the exact damage ratings, but DIAMONDBACK(2.00 refire) and CEREBUS(2.00 refire) are the top two, followed by the WILD FIRE(2.00 refire). The most energy efficient of the bunch is the JADE(3.03 refire). For all intents and purposes, I consider the JADE to be superior, since the refire and efficiency make it able to fire longer and faster than the other Codename weapons. After all, when you're slinging that much juice around, it doesn't really matter if you slice off a few hundred less HP- especially if you can do it faster than the other guy can.


(Note: some people like Nomad guns since they do not use energy, but I personally consider them legalized cheating. User preference, but be warned that they will make the game so unbelievably easy that your pet hamster could play it.)

well guys the thing about coded weps is at least they aren't cheating-you earn the gun fair and square

I wouldn't call it "earn"...
"Stumble upon" sounds better to me... And once you know where they are, well, it's just not any fun at all.

Those damn Experimental Guns gave me a free level up each time I found one of them. That was extremely annoying, but did I stop picking them up? Nonono, I just had to take them, stupid me .

It's a lot more fun to play the game with lower class stuff.

You don't earn them, but at least there's a nice big fat set of disadvantages to using them: limited supply(until server reset), massive power drain, slow fire rate/projectile speed. *some other* weapons are limited by none of that, and are inherently cheap as hell because of it.

Mentioning no names, eh?

The class 10 weapons can be good if you're a dead shot becuase they deal out the most damage per shot, but on the whole there are plenty of level 9 weapons also worth buying

There are some class 9 guns that are actually better than some of the low-end class 10 ones. I think only Outcast and Corsair weapons, though. But they're freely available...

Class 10 weapons are a matter of fighting style. If you're a sniper-esque flier, then you'll want something slow-firing with a massive punch. The high-end class 10 weapons are about as good as you can get. If you prefer to dog-fight, then you'll avoid class 10 weapons like the plague and go for Bounty Hunter of Civilian lines. And then there are various inbetween alternatives. Nomad weapons have their place too! I find it challenging to take on someone in an Eagle armed with Nomads. They can just fire and fire and fire, not bothering to aim. Tests your flying skills. It's no fun to use them, I don't think, unless you want to take a nap with your hand on the mouse.

That's why i love my Eagle with an Advanced Brigandine shield, 4 Nomad Energy Blasters, 1 Tizona del Cid, and 1 Salamanca Mk II !!

There are loads of Class 9 weapons that outstrip some of the Class 10s, the Wyrm and Salamanca like you said, but also the Skyblast B, Firekiss Mk II, Hornviper II and Kraken 2. They're all as good.

One slight thing I found while browsing for info, though. The Bounty Hunter Buckshot and the Outcast Kraken 2. Both use the same amount of energy, but the Kraken 2 does about 150 more damage, sacrificing only 50 metres range. Doesn't quite make sense

first off all the codenames with firerate 2.00, i toke the stats off the firekiss plasma gun, co'z that is the bestest gun with firerate 2.00

GOLDEN BLADE, 782, 195 (does 196 damage a shot lesser and uses 8 energy lesser)

IRON HAMMER, 880, 220 (does 98 damage a shot lesser and uses 17 energy more)
THOR'S HAMMER, 880, 244 (does 98 damage a shot lesser and uses 41 energy more)

ARCHANGEL, 978, 268 (needs 65 energy a shot more)
DARK BLOSSOM, 978, 268 (needs 65 energy a shot more)
