Juni and King have to be in the area around the base before you can dock there. The only time I've had this problem is when I was using a cruise speed mod, Juni and King hit the asteroids and went miles away with all the rebounding. If that's your problem, turn the speed mod off. If not, no idea

soon my moon base shall be complete!!

with the speed mod, I never got through the storyline past the mission when you have to escort the convoy full of artifacts to willer reaserch station because the convoys were going too fast and they crashed or got lost and crashed.

Another way you can lose your convoys or people is when you've played the missions before and know where you are supposed to be going and go there while everyone else is running through a lengthy dialogue section.

da mods throw off a lot of game triggers.....

Yeah, stuff like that can be fatal.

Then again, i wouldn't go to the Badlands myself either with anything faster than 600...
