Please help, stuck at level 23

I finished the storyline of the game and have been merrily doing individual missions for cash, however I am now stuck at level 23 and I have 'mission' listed as my level requirement. From eveything which I have read you are supposed to be free of the storyline after you hit level 18. Has anyone else had this problem?

The program's got some bugs in it. Sometimes it just gets "stuck" on a level. Take any mission, go off and trade, do whatever you want ... and sooner or later it should clear up.

p.s. Just about every one of us has run into that problem!

Remove the patch, reïnstall, try again, it should work now.

Typically that a patch screws up the game...

Edit: Damn spelling.

I tried uninstalling and then making a clean installation as well trading and doing more missions and I am still stuck

The bit about the patch initializing the problem is probably correct because I had recently installed the patch on my machine. Thanks for the responses though
