How''s this for doing $200k missions?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

How's this for doing $200k missions:

A Falcon, with the Titan's class 8 shield mounted on it, 3 Adv. Debilitators (class 8), 2 Debilitators (class 7), and a Sunslayer Torpedo launcher.

The idea would be to use the Falcon's superior manueverability to dodge enemy fire, while taking down their shields with the shield buster guns and then hit them with a torpedo, which should kill them in one hit when their shields are down.

I currently have a similar build on a Titan (4 Tizona del Cid, 2 Nomad Energy Blaster, Sunslayer), but I wanted to try something more manueverable. Would my above build be a good idea? One concern I have is that the only way that Falcon could damage hull would be using a torpedo, so if I had to fight a lot of enemies it would get expensive to buy so many torpedoes. (Perhaps I can get away with less debilitators? Should I be looking at an Eagle instead for manueverability, since it doesn't sacrifice firepower?)

i cna do it with the dagger so brush up your fighting skills

I'd recommend:1. Use Nomad Weapons
2. Get an Adv. Brigandine Shield at Crete or Malta(Class10)
3. Ditch the torpedoes. They're far too inaccurate.
No wait. Sorry, I thought you were using an Eagle. Get an Eagle.
I'm making record time!
If only I had someplace to be...

only 200k missions??? i did 245k missions with it... no backup, kill specific person.

- back to topic;
i did some off the idea with a defender...

outload was;
- slingshot missile
- slingshot missile
- adv. stunpulse
- sweeper missile
- sweeper missile
- pyros turret
- sunslayer torp
- ripper mine
- adv. cms

by use off torps with this kind off ship is dangerous... i blow my ship multiple times to spacedust when hitting an other ship with the torp... i pull up hardly when fired a torp head-on (also dangerous, co'z shield is down by fire torp).
i did 245k missions easily with a drake with only class 5 weaps (had no money for class 6 before the mission).

if u wanna get better in skillz, try agile fighters, so light fighters and u will maybe rule the whole serious sector... a heavy fighter is maybe the best in head-ons, but has lack off agility and can this way destroyed with dogfight...

For a start IMO the eagle handles as well as a falcon, but is a much better ship. So if u want a good manueverable ship get an eagle, if u want a challenge try a LF. Also i would keep the torp, cuz NPC's don't dodge them they r very easy to hit and r much more cost effective than missiles.

I've been trying out a Drake on those missions recently. My current weapon loadout is 2*Pyros 2 and 2*Pyros 3. I can complete the missions, but it takes a while to kill the enemies.

Any better weapon suggestions? I'm thinking of replacing a Pyros 2 with a Borroco, and maybe replacing another Pyros 2 with a Catapult launcher.

I got a suggestion: get a VHF. Sure, not as much skill is required, and it's what other people do, but it's a hell of a lot faster . I'm a little impatient so I don't like to fly around in an underclassed ship firing at Titans/Hammerheads for hours on end...

Also, for those of you who do the 245K missions in Drake and Daggers, do you require nanobots or shield batteries? Because I did some level 20-ish missions (under half that of the 245K) with a class 1 shield and I found that I was living off the nanobots and shield batteries that my foes dropped.

I used the following loadout, not the best, but a lot of fun:
[2 Slingshot Missile
[2 Pyros Type 1
[1 Pyros Type 1 Turret
[1 Class 1 Graviton Shield
[10 Shield Batteries (plus I picked up about 10 from enemies)
[10 Nanobots (plus I picked up a little less than 10 from enemies)

with the drake u don't use them much, i can do them without beaming stuff in... it's a whole other story for the dagger... yup, i needed al the nano/bats with i can get my hands on, and use them not to much, if shield down, let it down till regen, and then dumb the bats in it (full shield for lesser bats, nanos are used in thus ways a little more), and if u can use it (more batts then u can have in space) just use them earlier...

Done a $245k mission in a Patriot, that's fun...

Patriot is easier than the Dagger is, IMHO, being more maneuverable. Since there isn't too much armor difference(1300-1800...not that much when higher level weapons are shooting you), but the ship is much more agile. Same with the Starflier, only that is somewhat more difficult due to its lack of anything resembling firepower.

That Falcon of yours should be more than plenty to tackle 200k missions. Just remember to let your sheilds recharge on their own when you can; they come back up at around 20% to start, so usng shield batts to recharge from that point is a lot less costly than from a fully downed shield. Just go completely evasive any time you lose shields.
