Good Armament

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Kill some elite outcasts to get Wyrm Type 2's. When your around level 36, try to get nomad weapons.

...it's also on the verge of being a legalized cheat for the game. Nomad guns should never have been allowed in MP.

*sigh*

Just about any rig can benefit from an appropriate class of shield-busting weapon- for Class 9 and 10, that means the Tizona Del Cid people have mentioned. Other shield busters for lower classes(in case you should ever get bored of the overkill) include Borocco, Adv. Debilitator, Debilitator, Adv. Stunpulse, Stunpulse, etc.

For other guns, choose based on projectile speed and firepower; the faster the projectile the less time the enemy has to dodge it before it hits them. Usually every gun has an advantage and a disadvantage; try to choose ones that have the best ratings in these two categories. A fast refire is good too, since then if you miss you can fire again faster.

I'm gonna go out on a imb here and recommend that you NOT use any of the Codename guns- all of them have piss-poor refire rates, projectile speeds, and use a ton of energy for their firepower. Instead, there are two class 9 guns that actually outclass them; these are the Kraken II and the Skyblast B. Eah of these has been proven to do more damage per second than the highest rated codename gun, but they do it with a higher refire rather than a straight damage rating.

An alternative to the above shieldbuster gun would be an EMP type missile- those do tremendous shield damage per shot, but refire very slowly and are a lot harder to use correctly(slower projectile, limited ammo, easy to evade), but might be worth the extra money you spend.

I'm of the opinion that a missile launcher of some type can help out in most situations- try out any NON-stalker missile to see what pleases you(like the aforementioned EMP missiles or a armor missile, such as Catapult or Cannonball). The "specialty" launchers(Cruse disrupter/Torpedo) are always, always useful- Cruise disrupters more than torpedoes, actually, since they keep an opponent from running away.

hmmm...well, i never fly Titans but i fly Eagles (same thing really ) but my best loadout for it should be the same as a Titan

2X Silverfire
2X Tiziona Del Cid (gotta love dat gun eh )
2X Hornviper MkII (Wyrm Type 2 do good as well, or the best GMG weap, forget the name)
On MP, try going for a Hornet cruise disruptor and mines and countermeasurs as you choose

Enjoy

Skyblast B gets my vote. I regret having sold mine, as not only do they do awesome damage, but they make a really cool sound, too.

regarding the nomad weaponry: hey, if its legal, then what's to stop everybody using it? what it means is that the true vets will have earned it, and it's give the newbies something to aspire towards. besides, all it does is even the playing fields: it'll bring the veteran pilots on an even playing field (more or less), and any stupid newbie who wants to take on a sabre with a patriot deserves the half-second lifespan, imo.

Even the playing fields? What HAVE you been eating/drinking/smoking/snorting? Having NO energy usage with midlevel refire places the user at an advantage over everyone else playing, besides someone else using nomad weapons. It doesn't level out jack s***. It creates just what you want to AVOID in an open-ended MP game with PvP: being able to get "the best" of something. The different classes of ships are pretty well balanced otherwise (surprisingly enough, a starflier/patriot CAN beat a class 10 VHF, if properly equipped and flown), but the mere existence of an ultimate gun such as the nomad weapons throws all that off.
