High payout missions

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

High payout missions

Where does one find these 245k missions? I've flown missions for the outcasts at Ruiz and Malta (at least two dozen each). The outcasts are the highest faction on my rep list, with a full green bar, but yet I never seen any missions offered with a reward of over 150k! Help!

Corsairs, Tripoli shipyard missions about 245k

Post Fri Jan 02, 2004 11:13 am

you are in the correct place in fact ruiz is the best due to loot from the gmg being the best
245k or thereabouts are not offered every time then you may get a load at once
if we are talking mp ,then other players in the same system seem to reduce the frequency of the really big missions
doching and undocking will give you a fresh choice of missions on the board as will going to char select and reselecting your char hope this helps

GMG drop lots of lvl 8 and 9 weapons plus plenty of cargo, but personally I find it better in Alpha.

Mission = 180-245k
Pharmaceuticals = 70 tonnes * 800 = 56k
5+ lvl 9 weapons = 30k * 5 150k
3+ lvl 8 weapons = 15k * 3 45k

So on avg per mission you should be making 400k+ and thats for at most 10 mins work. If your lucky and get back to back 245k missions its easy to make 3 mil per hour.

I had better find one of those big missions soon. I renounced my good friendship with the bounty hunters to take missions for the outcasts at Alpha (somehow i was friendly w/ bounties, corsairs and outcasts at the same time). The Bounty hunters Cargo loot is better, but the GMG drop more guns, and are often easier to fight off. Pick your poison.

GMG arn't easy, there a lot harder than the BH's. When you get a wing of 6 lvl 19 eagles all with skyblast lvl 9's all firing at you, your shields don't last long. Plus the fact theres radiation in Beta so you have repairs no matter what happens. Only down side to Alpha is that if there are 3 or more human players in Alpha the missions dry up.

@ blade its the number of high level guns that the gmg drop thats the difference between alpha and beta missions another useful thing about beta is the missions tend to be nearer base and cut down travel time
@ pinger i personally find the gmg easier to kill with my normal load out but as many people seem to find the reverse it has to be a matter of preference in loadout that makes the difference

missions in betta is kind of harder from alpha (I think its the hardest missions available) but I like the chalange, when I fight BH hammerheads they almost does not affect my VHF shields, so I just reverse thrust and kill them, but in beta the Eagles there are the best NPCs available on FL.

by the way the radiation damage in beta is not so bad, no like the one in the omegas.

the thing ive found in gamma doing missions is if u keep all lvl 9 weps and dont sell them when u kill a bh thats the only weps they drop
im making maybe 500k -700k per mission at the mo
so on average bout 4mil and hour give or take

@ doom you are right about the radiation its barely worth mentioning about 600 to 2k repair bill after an average mission ; negligable !

Post Sat Jan 03, 2004 9:09 am

yeah 2k here 2k there, everytime a 2k repair. But I didnt get my character [E to lvl 77 by wasting credits even 2k at a time

I almost forgot about this, I did missions from fp9 against titans, it was very easy, and I even got Tizs who I sell to other players ( something like 6 out of 80 kills but once I got lucky and had 4 of them in one mission)

also when I got my first VHF Sabre from dresden, I did missions in omegas specialy in omega-41, the good thing was when ever I got phone or something distracting me, I just kep escaping the fire and using the nanos to fix my ship due to radiation, eventualy all hostile ships will die due to radiation ( it would take longer if they are titans) and u will win the mission insted of canceling it, but there is at least 100k for repairs.

i am lately trying missions in Tau-37 from fp10 against outcasts (Sabres and HF) but I did have not got any missions over 180k, I will keep trying until the outcasts become fully red, then I will try in the IMG base in the same system.

I am also want to try missions in Sigmas, I hope they got missions against sabres or at least good payed ones.

my new plan is to sit outside the Tau 37 jump hole in Omicron Alpha, and wait for the Bounty Hunters and Outcasts to pulverize each other, and pick up the pieces. In a Humpback, you could pull in up to 200,000 in cargo alone.
