Following the plot
I just purchased Freelancer, and started playing. Now, after something like 10 hours later I'm heading into the main plot-line (or I think that's what it is).
This a great game, but here's where I start venting out my frustration.
After completing something like 20 missions, of which maybe 6 - 8 were plot related, I have ran into a wall. The enemy is getting tougher, the guns are getting bigger, and I can't keep up!
The few modest thousand credits that the LSF throws in my way every now and then isn't nearly enough to refit a half-destroyed spacecraft. The Defender craft with 2 x Mark 3 Justices on the wings, 2 x Pulse...(well, the things that eat at shield, but do practically nothing to spacecrafts) and a Slingshot launcher. Plenty enough to take on any average thug.
I just feel that I should leave the plot-line for a few missions after one or two runs, and then come back when I actually have something to throw at all those enemies.
The question is: is this going to destroy my relations with LSF?
How do I get back to that good plot-line, if I need to go load up on credits in between missions (and the missions seem to be thickening up after a moment of playing)?
I know this is called Freelancer for a reason. Being the Good Guy seems too much, though...so I guess I have to try something else...
Dreams are but a facet of reality
