what happens when you hit a freighter convoy?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

what happens when you hit a freighter convoy?

what happens when you attack a freighter convoy of a friendly (green) ally? How long does it takes them to go red in the reputation.
what happens with overal reputation in other houses, groups if you do this? How is that affected?
Can you still use the jumplines controlled by the police ?

they go red after a bit of damage
you can still use lanes gates
the target faction likes you a little less
thier enemies like you a little more

then is the only "cheapest" way to change your reps?

its definitely a very efficient way to change your rep...its also quite gratifyingly evil when you break formation in the middle of nowhere and start blasting a convoy.

after a few shots you'll hear something like "hey! check your weapons!" or "watch who you're shooting freelancer" and then another couple of shots will put them red.

Unless you want a massive fight on your hands though I would recommend that you do it somewhere reasonably private, because if there are other allies to the convoy in the area they will attack you too.

a good place to try taking out convoys is helgoland as long as you pick kusari based convoys you only have to worry about thier escorts

Also select and scan the freighter with your 'O' button. If you're going to attack one make sure it's got something worth looting; a hull full of diamonds will make your feel all warm and fuzzy about piracy, a hull full of water just isn't worth your time.

However, if you hit your ally, only that company in that area will go red. Others will remain green if you do just abit of damage and not destroy the whole convoy along with its escorts. This was what happened to me.

I am in a biggle alliance with the corsairs. I was feeling bored and tired near Leon Base so i decided to blast one of the Centurions patrols. They whole faction in that system turned red and all were on my 6. Had to weave my way through asteroids to get to a jumphole and into another system.

Once i reach the other system, i spotted afew corsairs and they were "green" to me. But when i jumped back to my previous system. THe Corsairs in that system started hitting me with all they got. This was what happened. Just wondering whether it happened to you guys too.

They remember your attack.... For a while anyway. Just stay away from that system for a while.

i would not suggest breaking up a formation to attack a convoy. I would simply attack a convoy passing me...
they only remember the attack at a system or does it stratch further? (someone said you should avoid that system)

Well it is only that base that remebers. It is from ships coming from that base and following you through the tradelanes that make the rest of the system hostile. Of course once they turn red they stay that way. Just be glad transports dissappear when they use a jumpgate or else the entire sector could go hostile.

If you're fast enough. The best way to destroy a convoy without getting caught is to disrupt tradelanes.

i want a way to get the titan but i am fully red in the corsairs.so i would attack the ennemies of the corsairs to bring their red back to green. Is it possible in doing so? (instead of paying them a bribe)

get an eagle, nomadweapons (yes you can get them without mod) and dock camp outside new berlin, best to do this online so you have a partner.

You want to get neutral with the corsairs, attack the GMG in Sigma 13, enough of those puppies and you'll be neutral side of red with GMG (like you care if the GMG are slightly hostile) and neutral enough with the corsairs to go anywhere and buy your titan - you may not want it though unless all you want is a powerful Mule............. oops leading to best ship, stop there......

If you throw enough mud ..some's gonna stick.

i changed the file so i would pass the system controlled by the corsairs (change their status to friendly so i could dock on their bases and see what they sell and what ships they have and what jobs they have); found an eagle in a freeport station
