planet primus and planet gammu

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

yip sorry ff unless you are playing modded you cant buy nomad gear anywhere
all you can do is kill them for thier guns and you have to be l34 or above on a patched server supposedly l32 on a unpatched one

I could not buy Nomad weapons on either of these planets in the unknown system, but I did find quite a few Nomad ships with whom to engage and picked up some cannons and blasters that way. Since I already had a full complement of these from fighting in Omicron Gamma, I'm not sure it was of much use -- clearly I couldn't have made it to the unknown system first had I not been so well equipped in the first place. I only got the Nomad weapons because I had Diamond Backs, Onyx, Thor Hammers, and a couple of other class 10 things I took off wrecks. I like the Nomad weapons only because they don't drain energy, of course. Otherwise, they are not as interesting to use as the other class 10 weaponry.

I, too, flew down the "tunnel" to seek the bottom of the well . . . there is no there there.

Q: Why did they bother to put these two planets here if there were to be no clever dialog or other interesting bit of content associated with all the work it must have taken to put apes into the cartoons? Oh, I am forgetting the fundamental problem with those who made the story line, text and overall gameplay of this program in the first place: they have no apparent sense of humor; they have missed opportunities to present interesting content; and they have thus ridden on the backs of some very good graphics designers without holding up their end.

I'm guessing they are there because they didn't finish them.

There is definitely an unfinished feel to that system. Why go to all the trouble of creating it for nothing? Wonder what was planned for it.

They probably were going to use it in a second campaign.

ive discussed this one a few times and the general feeling is its part of what should have been like paralysers etc though some call it a joke an easter egg etc
im sure it was just another unfinished part of the game too much work went into it for it to be anything else

When I spoke to one of the Robots on Gammu he told me he worked for the Order, my guess is that they intended to have Gammu as an Order base where you could take jobs from them and blow away a few Nomads.
As for the Mokeys on Primus when you click on it it says its a Samura Base, my guess for that planet is that through genetic manipulation or something they created super smart apes which Samura uses to locate and 'colonize' distant planets, or something.
These planets actually made me disappointed, Freelancer was one of the few recent games that actually felt 'complete' at retail without the need for huge patches later on, seeing such an unfinished system kinda took that feeling away.

Nice one Kheiron,I think u're right!Btw. don't you recognize that Gammu reminds that base from campaign that was destroyed by nomads very very strongly?

what with all the corsair/outcast rumours about the unknowns, - strange beigns that guard the jumpholes, and so on, a system, on the edge of nomad space, where the remnants of the nomads not hit by the opening of the hypergates lurked, seemed quite interesting. Unfortunately, the easteregg planets ruin it - there should have been a nomad lair and a nomad gaet (obv disactivated) and those flights of nomads, and thats that. the cool easter eggs should have been in a system called "bonus" or summat, so as not to ruin the whole corsair mythology, etc.
