idea behind a dyson sphere, is you take a ****load of building material, and enclose a sun in it, you end up with something the size of the earths orbit around the sun, and as much free energy as you could ever want, for as long as the sun lasts. ( by ****load, i mean way more than is available in one galaxy, hence the dom kavash hypergates )

I only called it gay cause Im all outa ideas at the time... and are you that desperate to make a joke?? I seriously thought you thought I had something against gay people!!! Man, was I ever wrong.....

And whats the point of a Dyson Sphere if you waste all the materials building it, with nothing left to build you city thing?? It would be waaaayy easier just to find a way to draw off the suns power, like a big ol Vaccum Cleaner, cept it works on solar power...

Bein an Outcast is about doin things you wanna do: Kill, Terrorise, Murder, Destroy, Smoke Cardamine, ya know, normal stuff.....

I think building a Dysonsphere would be nearly impossible, because you have to deal with the suns gravity pull and when you have put up a large part of the sphere, the solarwinds (if I say that one correct) would blow it away.

I think you need more energy to keep it in place, than to actually build the thing.

But I haven't had much experiance in building those spheres, so I could be wrong

I had been thinking of some sort of blue system (what elese?), with some Nomads planets, and a lot of battleships, gunboats, turrets and fighters. Maybe some weapon platforms, Nomad -ish style. I was realy disapointing. But its cool, also. I like the way MS figured it out, where the Nomads should live. The outside, is just stupid, i think. They covered the INSIDE of a planet, with its outside textures . Well, the coolest thingey was when Trent used teh weapon Quintaine gave him. But the blackhol -ish thingey, just a swirling pool of Nomad sucking power. C'mon, its a little stupid, i think.

Well, its good, anyway. Thanks to MS, and that EA not made the game *phew*.

Just some fun info for those of you interested in Dyson Sphere's. The Dyson sphere (or Dyson shell) was originally proposed in 1959 by the astronomer Freeman Dyson in "Search for Artificial Stellar Sources of Infrared Radiation" in Science as a way for an advanced civilisation to utilise all of the energy radiated by their sun.

The original proposal was actual that of several thousand individual "islands" orbiting one star. It wasn't until later that the concept was interpreted to be a single shell encasing a star. The idea is based on some very sound scientific research and calculations, although the undertaking of such a project is far beyond the capabilities of our civilization.

A similar concept is the Ringworld created by Larry Niven.

If you're interested, you can read more about the Dyson Sphere concept at this site:

http://www.nada.kth.se/~asa/dysonFAQ.html#WEB

It's incredible to think that such an idea was first realized almost 45 years ago, and a decade before man even made it to the moon.

Anyway, just an FYI for those of you who are interested.
