The Red Hessians are great ones for running into their own mines when you are fighting them. I was in one scrimmage when I heard BOOM ... BOOM ... BOOM. Looked around wondering where the baddies had gone. They'd all flown into their own mines!

I think the best part about the Molly's hitting the mines is that it's their own minefield. It's funny with the Red Hessians, too, but that's sort of a blockade between them and the Corsairs.

I like taking missions into minefields for that reason. I just work my way in, letting my shields do there job and the mines do much of my dirty work for me. Then, sneak back out, finish what few are left, take their loot and go to next mission.

i disagree with all of you, that just takes the fun out of the chase then, of course you would not hav been able to dokk with that guy trying to mug you, so i guess that was ok, but honestly i prefer taking the prikks head-on, its more thrilling that way

go to zone-21 (new york) or the research station in honsu system and fly just outside the minefield (u can't enter the minefields, co'z the mines r to close to eachother) and see how heavy fighters enter the minefields and blow theirself to death

Actually, you can dock at the point our original poster was at. It's only when you refuse and they get mad and turn hostile that it would prevent you from docking...and perhaps if you've already been cleared it might let you anyway.

I've had that happen, too... not with a mugging, but it was something more like I'm docking with some neutral station, when some hostile faction comes along which is allied with the neutral, so the station starts firing on me as it's manouvering me in to dock...

i had that also a few times, sometimes it says:"can't dock, hostile base"
and othertimes i landed while the base was shooting at me...

I think it's a matter of timing... if you started the docking proceedure before the base turned hostile, you'll get to finish docking.

You know what's weird?

I was friendly with the Lane Hackers, but hostile to the Outcasts.

When I approached Mactan, it turned hostile.

That's even more strange.
