Is this Starlancer...?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Is this Starlancer...?

HI all lancers!
I couldn't decide where to put this, but i posted it here in Freelancer Spoiler Forum.

My question is, are this Starlancer or Freelancer (has not played SL, so i wonder if Rheinland is in Starlancer).

(Please not flamethrower me, never played SL)

That thread does belong in the FL forums. I think youll find that there was no Rheinland in SL (or Liberty, Bretonia... etc). In fact SL is set a long time before FL in a star system far, far away...

If you look at the Freelancer intro, the narrator mentions a hundred-year war between two major powers (Alliance and Coalition). Well Starlancer is based on the start of this war -- you're a new recruit for the Alliance, fighting against the Coalition in a supposedly WW2 type story.

Well Freelancer is based on the premise of "build sleeper ships, go somewhere else and start over again". Rheinland is the name of one of those sleeper ships, and therefore the name of one of the houses. This of course has nothing to do with Starlancer because it's based like 100 years later (then another 800 years after that).

Is SL as player freindly (easy to control, not billions of keys) as FL?

If you throw enough mud ..some's gonna stick.

its easy to control but no matter what anyone tells you you NEED a joystick
only a little keyboard work

I got the SL demo, tried it, and deleted it as fast as I could!
Then again I was spoiled as I was playing Tachyon: the Fringe at the time.

SL demo or Tachyon demo? SL demo I got from M$ quite a while ago, Tachyon demo is here:

Tachyon

(Tachyon inspired elements of FL according to an interview I read)
