Has anyone noticed that there are two Atka's in Sirius?

There is the researchcenter in Sigma 17, but there is also the planet in Hudson.

Do you think this was deliberate, or a coïncidence?

probably deliberate as many places are named after others in real life
street names etc

Cool, two replies.

Anyway, here's another for you: Why is there no Washington in Liberty? (or I must have missed it completely)
New Berlin, New Tokyo, New London but Liberty has New York, why not New Washington?
Why didn't they use the name of the current capital?

on the principle of New London New Tokyo etc surely New York should be in Bretonia or be named New New York

I think "Fort Bush" is the closest to Washington. It's right next to Baltimore Shipyards, just as DC is near Baltimore. And considering who the President is....hehe

@rr16: actually there are many house systems not named after planets, like Shikoku, Dresden, Manchester, Frankfurt, Dublin, etc.
