Why misiles?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

I think 4 lvl 10 guns and 2 lvl nines could level pretty much anything in about the same ammount of time as missiles. But you gotta love the explosians. It's like blowing up a heavy freighter just to watch the thing go boom. (Try it some time) --- RR16

What's the best missile to use??
My friend says its the cannonball because it does the most damage
but my other friend says the firestalker is the best because its homing

@RheinlandRules16, what weaps shall u have a defender and do div43 missions

i say that u do the same as me... co'z i did that already and completed the mission with only losing 1 wing and kill all enemies who where left...

- class 3 slot (slingshot missile launcher (class 3))
- class 3 slot (slingshot missile launcher (class 3))
- class 3 slot (windstalker missie launcher (class 3), now i use adv. scorpion gun (class 3))
- class 4 slot (sweeper missile launcher (class 4))
- class 4 slot (sweeper missile launcher (class 4))
- class 4 turret slot (pyros type 1 turret (class 4))
- torp/disr slot (sunslayer torp launcher)
- mine slot (screamer mine (now i use ripper mines)
- countermeasure (adv. countermeasure (didn't use))

if u can see i changed also some things, the stalker to gun... it's not whise to use stalkers with other missiles, co'z the stalker will hit the target and the other missiles will blown in the blast of th stalker ... so i had also unused missiles fired that would hit the target harder then the stalker missile...

i used the sweeper emp missile to destroy fast shield and then drop a torp at it... what destroy the ship inmediate... and yes i blow also a lot time my own ship in the blast... but that's the risc, and it's a lot more fun...

If u c some1 in a defender make fireballs from hunter it can be me

Sabre is wrong. He doesn't have any friends that told him the cannball is the be missiles. Anyway, the firestalker sounds good...

i used all types off missiles... and i liked the not homing the best (better damage if hit and a little lesser turning rate)

i don't like the combo of normal with homing missiles anymore, while i did that in the past with cannonball and firestalker missiles on a vhf...

now i fly with a defender with my main-character with 3 missile launchers...

They are god aginst battleships, cruisers and things and CAN KILL EVERYTHING Muhahaha... opps, gone a little wild... ssss... gollum, gollum....

i agree with you, but in some mission that your suposed to blow up a nomad battleship that is being created(grown?) and,curiously, has MORE armour than a normal completed one, it kinda helps...:=) still, after you completed sp torps or missiles have no meaning(for me!!!) cuz id rather be another minute killing a guy, than waste some money in a missile or torp... plus, get 2 diamondbacks and youll have quite some bit of fun *GUARANTEED*

to kill or to be killed...if it lives, kill it...if it stands, level it to da ground...if in doubt?WIPE IT OUT!

The paralyzer is the best missiles. Why? Its does about 7000 shield damage, who is stronger than most shields in the games

torps are ultimately slow moving critters. by the time they reach your target, evasive manue would kick in. torps are usually to hit wepon platforms and installations.

missiles are good but you should use em close to your target, coz it would miss.

but paralyzers take up a level 10 spot which could be used more effectively with a nomad or codename weapon
