Also the shear amount of damage missles/rippers/torps can do to the opponents hull means they have no time to use nanobots to repair the damge. Using pure guns costs less in the long run but all your fights will likely last till the last bot is used if you are fighting anyone of a decent skill.

Depends, if you're taking on a player the fight will be a lot tougher (if you and your opponent are playing fair ) because he will use bats/bots aswell. And if your connection isn't optimal or if you have terribla lag problems, fighting is allmost impossible.
Fighting NPC's is just like SP, apart from the connection problems you might have.

My first PvPfight was at FP9. I had a Falcon with class 6 weaps (don't ask), he had a Titan with (I think) class 9 weaps. I managed to shoot of one of his wings before he fled and docked with FP9 for repairs. It took all my bats and most of my bots, but I totaly kicked his @ss
I felt great, knowing that I had him with my inferior weapon loadout.

It's in shiparch.ini file, located at FL data folder. The Order sent 5 of them to destroy the Donau, when Trent just began his 1st mission.
However, one can acquire it without MOD-ing: Try editing the save game files, the info can be found on this forum.
I'm just saying that The Order Ship too deserves a consideration as one of the best fighter ship around.

Too bad you can't get the order ship without editing a save game file.

Might as well just post a save game file with it to the forum download section.

Never thought about misiles and other high explosives in MP. Npc's don't use many bots
