Freital Base, owned by the Red Hessians, sells Diamonds for $198/ton. It is located at B.6 by 4.2 (B4) in the Omega11 system.

The Red Hessians are usually duking it out with the Corsairs there, as well as random fleights of Bounty Hunters. Also, Dauman Heavy Construction has a base there--Solaris Station. They are a typical corporation, being friends with the military, police, and the Bounty Hunter's Guild.

If you go to Omega-11 for diamonds, either have your relationships in order, or prepare for a lot of fighting.

AngleWyrm is absolutely right. Diamonds galore, but watch your back. Personally I made sure that I was in with the BH and the Hessians before I ventured their properly. I found it quite a lucrative way of levelling when I was in and around the border worlds....you can also make quite a killing taking missions for the hessians against the BH and vice versa, if you take it in turn you will find that it doesn't affect your rep.
