Hey Xeno and Beowolf, did it ever occer to you that maby this person DID already play the game the way it was meant to be played? I have beaten the single player missions and now I use MODs, Sure I dont think you should use the MODs untill you have beaten the single player missions but as long as you have than who cares? Just dont MOD online lol.

Yeah, Mods let you have extra fun after you've sampled the game the way it came out of the box. The only kind of modding I frown on is God-modding--making yourself uber-overkill powerful with near-invulnerability or one-shot-kill weapons.

but, I don't think that you should just sample the game... try every aspect of it be fore you go and change it. Try beating it with different ships, fly every ship, have every sort of job youcan hold... you know, really play the game not just beat it once and then say, "Well, let's change it up cause it's borring now."

ljuin, Thats a valid point.

I'm making X-Lancer, but I'm not intending to put in one UBER SHIP after another. 'Cause thats just boring. I'm staging it on original FL, making it so you need to be certain levels for certain ships, and that the last ships are VERY Expensive (Maybe 1,000,000 -> 1,500,000). These will be the better ships.


But I don't get the point of Uber Ships all the time.

THANK YOU!!! i found the wreck. and yes, the next clue borders on the edge of insanity.ive narrowed the guys location down to 2 possible places. either grey-17, where the fedex ship (refered to on the wreck data) is sold, or on planet denver, where an identical wreck appears nearby after you find the first one. i would appreciate any help i can get.

Hey kendo, 1,000,000 -> 1,500,000 for ships is not very much... I mean once you get to the Omnicron systems you are getting payed upwards of 200K for some easy missions (I compleat them in about 10mins in a regular Sabre). Now the 10,000,000 that some ships cost in the Freelancer Massive Addon MOD is alot. BTW: Freelancer Massive Addon is the best FL MOD I have found so far... I have the Sabre MKII now and am trying to get the FedEx Oh and Shasla I collect a Necron army I have a friend who collects Tua, but I just like the name BlackSunFilter.
