its not a get rich quick scheme !

Mining takes forever. You can get money so much faster by doing missions, and there's no risk of valuable cargo loss if you fail a mission.

I like to mine Hessians in Dresden. They tend to drop Niobium, wich sells best at Leipzig, right there in Dresden

Mining isn't very effective, but if you're really dead (eg. You're a trader who just lost all his cargo and has no money left), it can get you up again fairly quickly. I like mining at Graves myself - Mollys don't tend to like me, but there are enough BMMers to hold them off while I happily fill my cargo with gold :p

it's not that I am dead in the water or trying to emass a fortune, I am just wanting to try a different approach to making money. I mead I'll get the gold and all the while, I will be defending my stash from the mollies until I get out of Dublin, defending my butt whilst I travel to Hamburg and Fight my way back to the "Fields of Gold."

It will be fun.

Mining Niobium outside Falkland base in Tau-37. 100% drop rate, never been bothered by neutral outcasts.

The most lucrative trade route in terms of credits per hour of play time, assuming that you don't get shot down, is taking Diamonds from New Berlin to New Tokyo, and taking Niobium back to The Ring (which orbits above New Berlin). You can make 400,000 credits per round trip in a Humpback or Dromedary.

well, I tried it and I am not sure if I like it. I had plenty of action with random Molly attacks and I went from lvl 33 to lvl 35 the whole time I was mining. I mean I had a full hold of gold and about 20 dublin duskers, 6 drone mine launcers 3 javlin launchers, some Angelitoes and a couple of Wasp Launchers so, I gained worth pretty quick.the problem was the mines in the area... I lost two turrets off my Humpback because the molly bastards got to close to the mines I was near.

Anyway, I had fun and I think that I am going to take my Banshee and mine a bit in the Niobium fields in Tau-37. Yahoooooo!
