Jump to Omega-7
Travel 1 more tradelane west from the Omega-7>Stuttgart Jumpgate
Dock at Freistadt Station.
Sell the engine components. ($825)
Buy Silver.
Go back to Freiburg and sell the silver.
Rinse, and repeat.

$112,500 profit (PROFIT, clear in the hand) for a two tradelane, one jump trade route. I made a cool "gorilla gorilla's"(1,000,000) in less than 1/2 an hour.

Oh, beware of Red Hessians, and Corsairs. In MP, I found that if I couldn't get armed escorts (by that I mean other players online...) to come with me, the best way to survive trade lane disruptions was to perform a circle in front of the damaged tradelane with afterburners on until it was repaired, then re-dock. Dogfighting in a freighter ain't exactly my forte.

Well, since this thread is temporarily ressurected... Here's one more:

To Make a tiny profit, ship Cardamine from Buffalo to Manhatten. You have to be neutral at least with both, so just shoot up a few police escorts and the rouges will not hate you.

Get amicable with the Lib rogues. (Lane hackers wouldn't hurt either)

Go to Montezuma (Cortez - Rogues) buy Cardamine. (you could alternatively start at Mactan in Magellan where useful wings may be found - but you'll end up back at cortez anyways).

Jump hole to Magellan
"Special" Jump hole into NY and go to Buffalo base (NY - rogues)

Sell Cardamine, Buy Light Arms.

Retrace steps to Montezuma (Cortez).

$900 per unit round trip, 2 Jump holes, no tradelanes, no Navy, no Police.

Stop off at Mactan base if you get into trouble in the middle...

Not the biggest payoff - but it's quick.
