Is ther just one SP storyline or are their multiple ones?

I hate to ask this, but is there a way to tell Juni to "Get Bent" and go off and do your own thing? I noticed that the SP game locks your level until you complete a mission. I would like to play the game from the other direction... basically hook up with the Liberty Rogues and go blast King into cosmic matter...

Or do I have to go tag with Juni until the end of the game?

Well, you could do what you liked, but you'll never advance until you follow Juni, and you can't take the "story" from the other sides PoV.

If it wasn't for the inky blackness of the night you wouldn't appreciate the brilliance of the stars...

You have to do Juni's bidding in any case but you can hook up with the pirates if you wish. Just start raiding transports or depots and everything else will follow naturally.

Oh and just in case the reason you asked this question was the supposed enourmous versitility in which you don't have to follow the SP that is advertised on the back of the box, don't judge a game by its cover : ~ )

You only get the said versatility after completing the game. Do not try to force it.
If you do you can end up in Omicron Alpha with a newly aquired Cavalier from Bretonia. I never managed to die instanly after exiting the jump hole.....

Ive never had the heart (or wallet) to refurse to do the campaign missions. But what happens if you decline a mission and join the outcasts when your in Kusari or something, can you just fly off and do your own thing?
