Look in the Rep-Hack-List. The admin stickied that post and put it at the top because he knew that some day you would come and ask that question.

forgive me if this might sound stupid ...but in the rep hack list where it says outcasts ..underneath is a list ...is that the list of bases etc where I'll get the bribe ?

Exactly. The list also says which faction controls a base so that you don't waste your time going there only to find that you cannot dock because the base is hostile.

Places like the Manhattan bar offer quite a number of different bribes but you have to try many, many times to get a Junkers bribe there, for example. Same with Freeport 4 in Magellan: in theory you could get an Outcast bribe or a Hacker bribe there but in practice this is much too tedious because the chance of actually getting one is very low. By contrast, the Corsair bribe in Freeport 9 is very reliable.

Somehow i think im doing things the wrong way round ....got to freeport 9 but the corsair wouldnt give me the bribe ....now ..im stuck

Well, the list says " if the bribe isnt there, launch and dock again" I suggest that you do that Becasue the Corsair bribe is there for sure.

Oh and talk to the bartender. You can't miss him.

I already spoke to the corsair rep ...but he would not give me the bribe ...infact he didnt want to know me,

Try again. To 'cycle' the bartender you have to launch + dock again (or log off and on), for changing patrons it is sufficient to leave the bar and then re-enter.

If you get an empty speech rectangle icon then the Corsair is withholding a rumour, not a bribe.
