It is quite unfair that

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

It is quite unfair that

in SP, when u leave Chugoku and head for the Sigma 13, u are with Lord Hekera(? spelling) and another guy with u...they are all in Sabre......
when u found the man u want and going into a base, all people there are in Stiletto and still, they die almost immediately in combat...it's quite stupid..
the most unfair thing is that why i can't buy the Falcon and Stiletto?????

Kress' men used Daggers to kill the Rheinland fleet in Tau-29, and Hakkera flew a Dagger in the battle at Tekagi's Arch. Have you tried that?

no, i haven't tried Dagger...
i just used Hawk and Starflier ...

Some of the later missions can be more challenging in a Dagger than in a Starflier. But the Dagger is a real pleasure to fly if you get some decent kit on it; for battling shielded enemy fighters a loadout with 4 x Adv. Scorpion + Stunpulse Turret works a treat, and for missions against unshielded enemies you can mount a missile launcher or two and replace the pulse turret with Rowlett's Revenge or a Pyros Turret Type 1.

As for the Falcon and Stiletto: the missions were designed so that they can be beaten with poorly chosen ships/equipment by people who have no more than 10 to 20 hours total combat experience in Freelancer. So even a decently equipped class 6 HF is overkill already, especially in the hands of an experienced pilot.

Being a light fighter guy myself I have yet to learn how to fly a heavy fighter properly, but when I tried mission 10 in a maxed-out Barracuda (with 20 Ripper mines ) I managed to kill 6 battleships, 4 cruisers and plenty of small fry. Have a look at the thread Plan for a maximum-fun campaign for fun ways of wreaking havoc.
