More Level 11 questions

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

More Level 11 questions

I'm in level 11. Killed the satellite, now I'm at the jh leading to Alaska trying to kill the liberty fighters guarding it.
I've got a Baracuda that is damaged with a broken left wing, 30 or so Moonstalker missles, decent guns and only 4K credits.
Having trouble killing the Liberty guys, but if I do, will I be in a position soon to make some money to repair my ship and reprovision?
Right now I'm thinking not and that I am going to have to start over with this new knowledge and make more money to have in the bank and have a better ship at this point.
I'm playing unmodded and would like to keep doing so until I get thru the main story line
Let me know your experiences.

Thanks

The last freelancing time is after mission 8 but then you are based in Kyoto and Kusari lawfuls shoot you on sight; therefore some people may find it easier to make big money in the freetime before mission 8. The last opportunity for selling loot is at Buffalo Base shortly after the beginning of mission 11.

In some of the later missions you can easily run up a tab of $50000 to $100000 for missiles, mines and torpedos if you like to use them (and there is no reason not to ), so I guess it is a good idea to have about a quarter million in the bank before heading into mission 9. It is not necessary - you can beat the missions with guns alone if you have energy-efficient guns and a class 4 ship or better, but I think it is more fun if you can afford plenty of high-grade ammo. Also, if you have a decent ship like the Drake then you can fly the missions without using a single nano/batt, but for the first time through the campaign it is better to go into the missions with full supplies of both, for contingencies.

P.S.: you can edit your own posts, so it is not necessary to post a new article in order to correct a mistake.

P.P.S.: you could swap your Barracuda for an Anubis. This would get you a little cash for basic supplies like nanos/batts and you would not have to go back too far. The Anubis is not as agile as the Barracuda but it is better in all other respects, and it is easy to beat the rest of the game in the Anubis with guns alone. I suggest buying Reaper guns if you don't have better guns already; the only good thing about the Death's Hand guns is their sound.

Thanks Sherlog for all three suggestions.
Used the second one immediately.
I'll go back and see how far I have to go back to reoutfit like you suggested.

Thanks

You're welcome. I think an Anubis with Reaper guns and Starkillers is very satisfactory. The Reapers are so good that you do not need high-powered mines or torpedos for mission 11 and mission 12, so you can save a bit of money for what comes after that. I would recommend Seeker mines for mission 11 and 12 - they are inexpensive but do a good job of forcing enemies to break away from your tail.
