Leveling up problems?

Leveling up problems?

If you are having problems leveling up: ie, where it tells you your next level requirement, it says "mission"... the patch (v.1.1), seems to be causing this.
REINSTALL THE GAME, BUT DO NOT INSTALL THE PATCH. PLAY THE GAME AND YOU SHOULD LEVEL UP, OR DO A MISSION AND THE PROBLEM SHOULD BE FIXED.
THEN YOU CAN REINSTALL THE PATCH, BUT BE AWARE THE PROBLEM WILL REOCCUR.
please try this, but if problems persist, reply to the topic and i will post other instructions as i find them.

I have truble getting to the next level it says's i need 72 thousand but i have like 82 and it won't advance me any further is there something else i need to do or is this a problem with the game that they hav'nt patched yet?
Any help Much appreiated

Ok, now I'm starting to sound like the rest. There are many posts on this topic already and I would suggest that you do a search for them.

If you have started the game and then installed the 1.1 patch from MS then re-install your game. Do NOT re-install the patch. This seems to be causing more problems, especially in the SP game, than it solves. The 1.1 patch is intended for persons running an FL server. It does nothing for the SP game.

Once you have re-installed FL, go the commodities broker and buy something, doesn't matter what it is, then exit the commodities window. This should up your level.

I was having this problem also, but I think I've figured out part of the confusion. During the SP campaign, it will tell you how much money you must have to advance a level. Once the campaign is ended, it tells you how much more you NEED to advance a level. So, while you have $82k and it says you need $72k, what it really means is you need a total of $154k to gain the next level.

Confusing, no?
