Unknown Object in a Star???

I was flying in the Tau-37 system once, and to my suprise, there was an "Unknown Object" under the "Solars" filter in my radar window thingie. When I went to see where it was, it turned out to be inside the white star in the system! My questions are: what is this "Unknown Object", what is it doing inside of a star, and is there possibly a hack or something to get into the star and see what the object is???

a planet in early stages of development...don't ask me what it's doing in the middle of a burning ball of gas that's just what the ini file lists it as.

There was a discussion about this a while back, and I think it was concluded that it is in fact a "protoplanet." But like Lordzach stated, I have no idea why it would be in the middle of a star.

I think I might know what it is....

I took a look at the INI files last night, and I think I found a little bit out about the object. It's a wild guess , but from what the INI files say, I think it might be the little ring around the star... (I'm really not shure, though...)
It kinda makes sense, because the game says the object is right in the center of the star, and the ring is centered around the star, so I think the object is, or is generating the ring.
I think it's called a protoplanet because those bits and pieces of material in the ring may later clump together into a planet or something.
This is just a guess, and it's probably wrong, but I thought I'd share it with you guys.
Also, I'm sorry the screenshots are very large (2.25MB a pic! Eeek!

) and I'll remember to try to size them down next time.

anyway, this topic has been previously discussed to death....there is no purpose for the object...so dont worry about it.....

Sorry, but you're all wrong. I don't remember who it was, but someone went into the files and deleted the star from the came, got a really good ship from a mod (Rhindland bs, I believe), and took a look. It turned out to be some old ship, extremely powerful, but you can't do anything to/with it. There were screenshots, I think the topic was 'Unknown object in Tau(whichever Tau it is) Now known!)

Lol! I don't know why I'm carrying that weak Angelito Turret. I guess it's the strongest I've picked off my enemies so far...

uh...Shadow...that thread just shows some pics of a small countermeasure-like object, I have NO idea where you possibly got the idea that it's a ship...it's never mentioned once in there until you bring it up.

Aw man, don't be an enemy with the Corsairs. You can have easy access to Cadiz and Leon and Crete and Tripoli and get the best ship and help them in the war against Red Hessians for Omega 5.

oh and, you should of scalled the image down. there are some people in south asia that have such a slow internet that this image that you put here will have to be given to me for my birthday.

Haha, you don't have 6x antialiasing like I do.
The Corsair "Salamanca" Neutron Turret is better, but it is better if you got that at their base.
