Mining fields

Are there any mining areas where i can mine valuble minerals? (i.e. gold, cardamine, diamonds etc.)

Because all i have found are water, scrap metal and other worthless junk. I also tried to look for a map of what you can mine and where you can mine it, but i cant find anything...

Different fields hold different things. Try Dublin for Gold.
