Alaska system

Has any one found it yet? I know its out there.

You can't get there from here.

you travel to it during the SP campaign, but afterward, it is inaccessible. Not that you'd want to go there; it's completely devoid of anything but a prison station, a shipyard, and the star.

And if those bases are anything like most of the SP-only bases, they probably don't have commodity traders or equipment dealers.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

If you install rebalance 1.6 there's a jump hole to Alaska in the Galileo system right by the trade lanes. You can go to the prison station there, but noone is home, it's just dark in the station.

You can get into that minefield but the gate is closed unless you mod it.
I guess there is no point in telling you where the corridor is if it is not going to help you actually get to the alaska system

the only way to get into alaska after you complete the game is using the goanywhere mod. that mod does wonders you know.

you can find that mod in the downloads i think

The Alaska Jump Gate is located within the Zone 21 minefield east of Norfolk Shipyard and the Battleship Missouri. If you fly up to the minefield you should be able to see a jump gate in the distance. You cannot fly directly to gate through the minefield because there is no way of avoiding the mines and each of them is strong enough to kill you in one explosion. There is though a small tunnel through the minified. To find it follow theses instructions. Select the jump gate and choose the schematic view by clicking on the icon of the ship that appears to be in a box with only corners. It is located next to the highlighted lines that look like text on the top of the left panel of your head up display. Use this in combination with you main view to position yourself so that you are lined up directly with the entrance of the jump gate. Activate your cruise engine and fly strait toward the it. Make slight adjustment to your course once you can differentiate the tunnel from the rest of the minefield.

When i played the demo I hadn't seen a jump gate before, so when I saw the jumpgate through the minefield I thought it was a starship and flew straight towards it..... BANG!

come out of the West Point Trade Lane->Norfolk, and just keep going, you'll find the minefield, trust me, you'll find the minefield.
