dropping cargo in space

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

dropping cargo in space

The handbook suggests you should be able to do this in order to pick up something else but I've found no key to do this. -Only way I've found to drop was when someone stole all my loot!!!

Anyone know how?
Thanks

Open you cargo listing - F7 and click the trash can icon next to what you want to jettision. NB only do it while NOT near anyone/thing that is hostile. As your shields are disabled while its dropped.

yeah, in the cargo/inventory part for commities just click on the trashcan that is on the top right part of the window that shows the commities. be warned your shields are disabled for about 5 seconds and then they come back on.

If you watch youe ship closely you can see a hatch open and close while your shields down. This is more apparent on some ships then others.

I tried to dump cargo while dogfighting Mollys in the mine field near Arranmore Base. It cost my 250000 for the repairs.

Ta much for the info guys, I must look more carefully in future!

Sure there's nothing in the manual though, then again a lot isn't!

Sometimes when I'm low on money I'll carefully scan anything that's left after a fight. If I have 10 pieces of scrap metal in my cargo hold and there happens to be some beryllium or niobium floating around I'll dump all of the lesser valued cargo to make room for the more valuable stuff.
