The Kuryo Anomaly and the Texas Incident -Uncovered- *spoile

It has been a while, since i posted on the spoiler forum, anyway...
here is an explanation provided by a zoner on one of the bases, This explains why, not how it happened

The Ames Independent Research Station was established in 550 to study the Kuryo Anomaly in preparation for the construction of Trade Lanes by Deep Space Engineering. Jump Gates couldn't bypass this system because of the danger in traversing the dark matter clouds of the Anomaly -- a lesson painfully learned in the Texas Incident.

so thats what happened

But what is this anomaly? Anyone thought about that?

Careful what you wish... You might just get it.

good point, does anyone know where it is in the system?

Sorry bout that i left somthing out, those two systems, Kepler and Galilleo ARE the anomaly, those antimatter (or is it dark matter i forget) clouds are the problem that is what happened.

The Texas Incident referred to is the failed jump gate experiment in 521AS which destroyed the Dallas Research Station Superconductor Laboratory (Texas system, north-east in quadrant 6C - lots of radiation).

They obviously learned that jump gates wouldn't bypass these systems so they founded Ames to study the anomoly.

I think the Dallas was a ship, there was something about the captain moving it to twice the safe distance in a rumor.

They learned that jumpgates+Darkmatter+jumptunnels going thru darkmatter=BOOOOOOOOM.
So they decided to build tradelanes in between them to bypass it.

darkmatter is what u see at night

ps. there could be a cloud of it... but that's not dangerous (if there is also nothing in it, otherwhise u could flew into something)

the darkmatter can become a cloud by explosions (u know about supernovas... that can make nebulas (before the blewup planetnebula, after big bang starnebulas (like the crapnebula (in the middle of there is a pulsar)), but also darkmatterclouds)

i wanna know why the darkmatter in freelancer loose radiation...there must be also an other kind of matterie near it... but what

also, in space is always radioactivity what comes mosly from stars and planets (u know, background radiations)

For the Galileo/Kepler anomaly
Ageria Tech. estimated that an anomaly would occur in the Gallileo? (If not, Kepler System) so they made an expensive detour around the other system
(If the anomaly was estemated to occur in Gallileo, they made the Trade Lane detour through the Kepler system and vice versa, can't remember)

But the anomaly didn't occur as expected, so Agera, in an attemp to redeem themselved, brutally ousted and humiliated the scientist team and the leaders of the project that estimated the anomaly.

That formed the Lane Hackers.

guys think about it, freelancer wasnt supposed to be some space sim that was equal to, lets say Splinter Cell in realism.if you wanna talk physics, those asteroids should ALL be moving, if one ship came through and hit an asteroid, that big rock wouldnt stop moving, NO FRICTION...Also, there wouldnt bew so many rocks in Omega 41, lets face it, Omega 41 is a small system (not terribly small, but smaller than most systems) and its sun is HUGE....many of those rocks would burn up from the sun...not all of them, but some....i'm no physicist (i'm a neurosurgeon...j/k) but its not that hard to figure out...

Boy on date w/ girl: I have to admit...my dad cleans bathroom stalls in crappy restaurants...
Girl on date w/ boy: ohhh, you don't have to worry, i dont judge anyone on what there family does...after all..you know what my dad does...he's an aeronautical engineer...

install freelancer rebalance v1.4b and hit an astroid, it will go away wenn u hit it
and if u shoot at it it can explode...
