Best class 6 shield?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

The best shields are the graviton ones because they have a much larger capacity than the positron and molecular shields of the same class. They are weakest against plasma/particle weapons but only very few factions use these (Xenos) and the larger capacity of the gravitons compensates this to a degree. As a result, the graviton shields are better than the other shields against all weapon types except plasma/particle, and against the latter they are on par with the second-best. Also, their resistance mix is better than that of the other shields because the others have weaknesses against frequently-encountered weapon types like laser/photon (positron shield) or neutron/tachyon (molecular shield).

The best class 6 graviton shield for a heavy fighter is undoubtedly the Order Shield which is the same as the Adv. Sentinel H.F. shield but costs only a few cents (you can get it during mission 10 or later on the Osiris and Planet Toledo). There are no freighter or light fighter versions of the Order Shield, though.

Next best is the Adv. Sentinel. Same stats but normal price. Sold in a gazillion locations so go look at your favourite market list or consult a utility like FL Datastorm.

A Gazillion isn't QUITE right, there are a good few, I'd say the easiest location would be Ainu, in Hokkaido, but that's a GC base, oh and you also should be neutral with the Blood Dragons. And if you're not neutral with both of them then nearly every base in Hokkaido sells them. Otherwise you're looking towards the Sigmas and Rheinland. And even there they're not everywhere...

Oh, and I'm talking about the Adv. Sentinel, just so no one's confused.

You definitely should get FL Datastorm.
