Wrecks... Help Please

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Wrecks... Help Please

Just completed the main story bases missions and after finding and reading this webiste have discovered that there is nothing else to do bar repeat the same simple missions over and over and over ad infinitum.

Anyway, discovered that there are wrecks to be discovered and looted... now ive tried and tried and tried to find these and all I seem to come accross is a limitless number of Rougues etc - which has now become more than mildly irritating.

The co-ordinates of these wrecks are give but the squares are quite large - so heres my plea! Does any one have an exact co-ordinate for these ships or a nav-map complete with their positions...

Any help will be gratefully appreciated

Look on your nav map when you are at the co-ordinates, and wrecks should show up as red crosses.

Take for example, New London - 5 C

I finally reached the co-ordinates 5 C and on zooming in on the nav map made sure I was bang on 5 C - all I could see was numerous rocks and a hazard buoy! There were no red crosses or anything else, only Mollys.

Are these things for real - or is my version missing them?

Im getting bored with it all now...

Try looking on the solars list on the HUD, the name of the wreck should show up in that, if sensor efficency is not reduced.

Download Lancerthing 1.07. It has maps of every system including the wrecks. Once you get close to any given wreck it should show up on your map. If you are going wreck hunting make sure you have a decent ship.

I'm having this same problem... I fly to the coordinates where the wrecks are supposed to be, but can't find anything. I've used every single setting on the HUD and Navmap, but I don't find anything. I tried setting waypoint coordinates all over a sector, flying back and forth over and over again, but to no avail. Is this a bug in my version? What is going on?

Like Holliday says, use LancerThing 1.07
This gets you much closer than just raw co-ordinates.
I have set waypoints literally on top of wrecks.
Do this once, to get one wreck experience, but it's a spoiler.
Now I only do it on wrecks I already know about.

In Multiplayer. Until the server is reset. Certain wrecks, like the CODENAME gun wrecks
and the Flint, ya gotta be quick. (Sprint for Flint) Many wrecks hardly ever get visited.
