Rebalance Mod 1.4b *SPOILERS*
But all in all a bit too easy.
There are a couple of ships that just dont fit the price performance calculations:
First is the DAGGER: Light hull, lev4 shields, nothing special... cept for insane speed, good turns and 6 guns + 2 forward facing turrets. I was killing ships many classes it senior.
Then in dublin i found the TIE DEFENDER: Insanely low cost ~200k, but 6 lev8/9 guns, lev10 shields, great turns and a high top speed.... Waaaay to good a ship for such a price. The only thing it really lacked was a thick hull and some cargo capacity. (no big deal for a fighter that the enemy could rarely hit)
I also find it odd that while i couldnt get an eagle till i reached lev30 (only lev23 on hard) i COULD pick up the Bwing or Bobba fets hunter... which are far more powerful craft.
The freighters too are generally set way too high, though cargo capacity is good... there is no low level start freighter to speak of... they all cost from 300k up to 2 million.
And my final point: WEAPONS... like the balance of weapons... most are good, until that is i found the IMG Vampire Tachions.
At the time i was toting lev7 bretonia tachions doing ~120hull per shot. When i found the vampiremk2 it did an insane 500+ for LESS energy expenditure than the bretonian one. The lev7 vampire's damage equals the output of the krakens!
Once i got a set of them things became way too easy.
