The best thruster is the Advanced Thruster, it is found at most bases in the game, im not sure about any in NY though, the best Shields are sold at Planet Malta and Planet Crete...

Lavaboy, trying PvP against a eagle maxed out in terms of equipment class and a good pilot and you will have some.... fun. actually come go to a server called "Galactic Playground" seomtime and i'll fight u in my eagle if u want.

btw just search the forums and u will find EVERYTHING u need on class 10 shields.... its been a dead horse for a long time

Well if thats true about the shields then I do got the best shield but I do believe that the Advanced Thruster is not the best thruster cuz i used to have the advanced thruster and during the campaign when i got an order ship it gave me an order thruster which was better then the advanced thruster. and now that I got the Titan I got an even better thruster called "Thruster"

I dont have the thingy so u can put god mode on in the singleplayer game...is says like open perfoptions or somethin...Its not in my Microsoft Game/Freelancer folder??

Lavaboy : the file "perfoptions.ini" is in "mydocuments\freelancer" or something like that, not the folder where you have installed the game. Why do you want invincibility if you have a Titan?
By the way, be careful calling the Titan the best ship. It has the best Shield/Hull, but many players hate it because it's so slow to turn in, so that's why you have been challenged by a guy in a "Eagle".

I had the Eagle and loved it, now have the Sabre and love it, and have no interest in buying the Titan. Maybe I will just to play around, but then I'll go back to Sabre or Eagle for sure. Have fun.

i tried all vhf, even the hammerhead...

i don't like the titan (slow turning ) and hammerhead (it's maneuvrability is a little strange co'z the fighter is a /shape and not the usaly -shape or even (like the titan more +shape, but with a little / and long -, the sabre is more Vshape)

i like the eagle of the vhf the best (best maneuvrable)
of the heavy fighters i like the dragon
of the light i like the dagger (i think the drake is also a good 1)

Hammerhead is a wee bit more maneuverable than the Eagle...with GMG Skyblast A's and B's, it can rival a class 10's firepower, too. The only real difference is armor and shield protection.

Banshees are also a good buy.

I would recommend for your weapon loadout 2 Kraken Type II's, 4 Nomad Energy Blasters, Salamanca Turret, Hornet Cruise Disruptor, Ripper Mine, and Adv. Countermeasure dropper. Of course, a c10 shield, and Adv. Thruster. With all that, you should be a very formidable fighting force (emphasis on should).

I'm debating whether the Sabre or Eagle is better, they both seem to turn at the same rate, but I'm wondering if the Eagle makes a bit smaller target. Anyway, those Nomads weapons are the most powerful in the game and they use no energy. You can load up the Nomad weaponry in the class 10 slots and then put the most destructive class 9's in the remaining slots (Krackens). After I got my Eagle loaded up with the Nomad weapons I trotted over to the nearest Xeno base in the Colorado system and pounded their base and killed about 50 Xenos,they were like gnats. Did wonders for my rep. LOL!

i know that the eagle is better then the sabre. i'd love to know where u downloaded the nomad weaponry from or wat system u got it from maybe a little exchange of info. i've kinda created my own mod(not downloadable anywhere) but i can start on any server at watever rank i want with watever starting money i want. I was referring to the SP, don't know how MP works with the weapons. Just pick a fight with the Nomads in the Omicron systems. They patrol around the unknown jump holes and drop off when you destroy them.

Best ship SP - Titan or Eagle ( i prefer the Eagle myself) im Omicron gamma or theta
Best Weapons SP - THOR'S HAMMER ( shield dmg- 440 hull- 880 level 10) - Omicron systems by destroying Corsair Titan enemies
Best Thruster SP - Advanced Thruster (why they didn't make a FASTER thruster I'll never know)
Best Shields SP - Advanced (something or other) H.F. level 10 on Planet Crete(Corsair homeworld) in Omicron Gamma or Theta but I do know it's Crete

^ Thor's Hammer is horrible. Get Diamondbacks, Cerberus, Wildfire, or Nomads.
