Did they change the beginning of the Intro??

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Did they change the beginning of the Intro??

Hi, I brought this up before but now I can't find my post....i think it was deleted or something...anyway...

Did Microsoft change the beginning of the Intro to Freelancer?? I was looking at screenshots of the intro movie on this site and it shows that some nomad ships were attacking and destroying the sun right after the sleeper ships launched and left.....but in the intro to the game now, they seemed to have cut out that scene (the alien ships coming to destroy the sun)....did they change the intro or what?? Was the intended to be the original story but they got rid of it??

any answers?? thanks...

Yeah, they did. It didn't really fit into the current storyline that a huge nomad ship would come to sol and destroy our sun one everything in the system, so they took it out. I would assume that the people that were left behind are still there...

as a star/sun is gone, the planets will also don't be there for ever... without a sun there can be nothing...

if a sun will be gone, or get smaller, the planets in the edge of that system will also go, but slowly... y that happends i don't know, i know the sun make planets and if it's gone the panets r also go with it

Basically DA realised that there is no way that the Houses stand up to a race that can destroy a sun that easily. There'd have been to many plot holes in the story line and other realated issues.

They wanted to leave the possibility of going back and killing more commies some day.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

What are you talking about....

You dont need a star for planets to retain existance.

The star is usually required for a planet to be made, yes, but its not required for a planet to stay in existance.

A planet without a sun will simply stay in place, these planets are usually dead planets or poison ridden crap holes (as I like to put it)

As for our system, Pluto would eventually fling off into space over a matter of generations, continueing to gain speed until it slamme dinto something or exploded into an asteroid.

A planet rotating around a star will eventually be destroyed if the stay explodes, unless the star simply "dies" and turns into a black dwarf (dead rock) and will then retain no gravitational force, and thus the planets will lightly be let off their axis, and slowing obtain their own "rotation" in that system, but that really depends, the small the planets will most likely slowly fling off into outerspace, while the bigger ones gravity will pull on eachother and create a magnetic effect, and they will all rotate around eachother or in a sister lock, which would stop them from flinging into space.

our sun will first grow (destoying mercurius) and after that it will collapse to a white dwarf...

but that will take a long time , don't wait for it...

EVERYBODY knows you don't need a big nomad ship to blow up a sun, you just need the sunslayer torpedo launcher... heh heh...

Hate to be pedantic, but it doesnt matter if a star becomes a white dwarf, since the amount of matter remains constant. So everything would just keep happening, only it might get a touch cold on the planets.
If you blew a sun up, however, and ejected the matter into space, then the planets would go flying off into space.
