No, but it's a common misconception. We are taught the properties of mixing colors (ie: paint) when we are young. Truthfully though, red paint isn't red because it gives off red light. It is red because the substance absorbs most of the other spectrums of light, leaving red the primary color reflected. Now when you mix red and blue, the stongest absorbtion characteristics of the 'paint' will lie between red light and blue light. Since colors beyond red are invisible to the human eye, that leaves only colors beyond blue to be reflected strongly, and visibly. Ie: Violet, which lies beyond blue in the color spectrum.

I have just got a Sabre with 6 Skyblast B's and a Skyblast B turret. I switch over to Barrager Mark 3's when I am in the inner systems. All that plus a Sunslayer Torpedo Launcher, Ripper Mine dropper, and an Advanced Countermeasure deployer. Torpedoes are too expensive. Dammit.

yeah, but with a ship that good ('little blue ship' cannons are better, dont be afraid of them, they are weak. remember they cant cruse or stop u crusing! any trouble, just cruse away!) you shud be able to difficulty 30 odd missions, thats about 100,000 each! not bad!

i did a difficulty 42 mission for over 200,000 with my ship, it was hard but i did it. i now (in one afternoon, starting from 0 credits) have 1.5 million. that was about 6 or 7 missions from omicron beta. easy money! torpedoes are nothing compared tothat!
