I'm just started a 12 hour shift at work so I cant send a save game now. I have had alot of problems with that one too. Trackballs actually make that mission harder. What finally worked for me was counting the rings as I wen't through them so after a few times I knew where on the corse I was having trouble with (i.e. 14th ring bank right hard slightly down...). My 2 biggest pet peevs about games now days are 1. changing the genare of the game in the middle of it (changing a space sim into a racing game). 2. cutseens that you cant skip. that mission did both. Pissed me off...

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that my idea for melting down coins to make a giant robotic parrot was a bad idea, I would have one kicka$$ giant robotic parrot.

this is one of those unorthidox(sp?) hints, but try turning off your sound as well. Or playing some music in the background instead, get kind of a groove going.

I've met some older person who can cycle faster than me. (Damn...)

Anyway, if you can't beat him, I would say try to practice it. Go to the ring area before you meet hovis and just run around there.

Most of us here wins not by our split nano second reaction time.

We can win because it is just a matter of timing, and good clean reliable mouse.
Remember that racing is timing, just like driving a car (I think you know that already)

or maybe you can ask your grandson with the race

anyway, somewhere in this spoiler forum, somebody posted some way to hack the .ini files to skip that race..
