Loose end: shipdealer in New London?

After mission 4, Tobias says something like: 'Go to the ship dealer in New London. He'll have a ship for you.'

The best ships are all available right there on Planet Leeds (except for the Dromedary, hehe). So what is the New London angle? To give the player opportunity to tangle with Bounty Hunters on the way?

After Tobias sends you off to London, the Bounty Hunters will be neutral to you. London's better anyway, as it's the centre of the action in Bretonia, and it's good to spread your wings a bit rather than staying in Leeds

Go to some battleship near a unknown planet in the leed system the best ship is there.

I think that if you buy a ship from the ship dealer in New London, the Bouty Hunters will go Neutral with you. Simply visiting the dealer is not enough.

I was disappointed that there was no cut scene or even a dialogue window. The first time, I was wodering why Tobias sent me on a wild goose chase.

Nope.

BH turn neutral after you buy a ship. Any ship. From any base/planet.

I think the dialog from Tobias is to guide you into exploring the New London system.

btw, BH turn hostile again after the next mission (Sprague). They turn back to neutral when you buy another ship. Not sure why, could be a programming mistake.

Woah, so thats why on my other game the BH still hate me, I bought a ship at Leeds before I went to see Tobias. Stupid me, forgot from first time of beating the game to save my money XX(
