nomad guns
If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

I went through the unknown jump holes in sp and killed about 20 nomad ships but none of them dropped salvage how do I get the guns
from what i have read you must be at least level 30 for the nomads to drop them. Also some people say it depends on luck, as for me I say it depends on your level. I have a level 51 character on elite that gets 1 nomad gun for every four nomads i kill.

You don't have to be level 34 to get a Nomad reception committee after launching from the robot and ape planets.
On one of my favourite servers you start on Planet Gammu with a Starflier in the standard loadout (including class 1 graviton shield and 3 batts/nanos), and the Nomads are always waiting at the docking ring.
The level-dependency of Nomad gun drops is patently unfair, though. It is more difficult to kill them if you are level 30 or lower, so why is there only a reward when it is actually easier?
