How to transfer Cash/cargo between your own characters ONLIN

Have Both characters go in to space outside a Safe station, away from moving traffic, in near enough the same space.

eg launch Character1 then press F1 to choose the change character, repeat the launch for Character2

Best I've found is under a station where no ship goes.

Then jettison the cargo etc from one of the characters, choose to switch characters while STILL in space and then tractor in the new character. Test with a single tonne first to make sure it works.

Found if you do it in front of docking rings etc then the cargo goes missing.

edit: ps only really an issue if you dont have someone willing to hold the cargo for you, but I dont trust anyone when good weapons are concerned

You can jettison weapons? Thought only cargo could be jettisoned...

Anything not mounted can be jettisioned

ive jetisoned stuff that was mounted on my ship

i remember giving some guy s20 nanos becasue he jsut got owned by a nomad ship and i also gave his 20 adv. counters im prety sure they are equiped

I mean Mounted as in weapons in active slots, they can't be jettisoned

ok... I thought transfering cargo between two of your characters was illegal.... or maybe I'm drunk again.

Well until someone comes up with a banking mod thats what I'm doing from now on.

Thought it might be possible but never tried it until recently. Someone else on the server I use said they'd done it so didnt take long to figure out how.

Can you jettison cargo or switch mounted weapons with ones in the cargo hold in single player? I've tried, but so far...

You can only mount/unmount when docked. Click the little 'jigsaw' icon.
In space, if you click on a commodity (say Oxygen) look for a little trash can.

u can transfer cargo from 1 char to another char of u

just jetis the cargo (weaps, munition, cargo, shield, nano, batts) into space, go to ur other char and beam them in...

ps. i did it a few time with cargo only... just drop about 4 times the cargospace of the other player, sellect that char, and beam stuff in, land, sell, launch, beam, land, sell, launch, beam, sell, launch, beam, land, sell, launch, beam, sell, land, dock, beam, launch, sell.... and so on...

I remember I wanted to rename a char, so I cashed out and bought a Patriot
and a pile of Screamer mines. When I hit F1 to switch, my ISP dumped me.
By the time I got back, $1/4 mil in mines was gone.

Last night I was trying to move my old Cutter to another char. I hit the
eject button and heard "Shields Deactivated" and waited to see it on radar.
... nothing. Server crashed, didn't come back. This morning I checked and
thankfully I still had the cutter. Only $80k risk, but still...
