Is There a Way to get into Alaska? Help!

I'm new to this, but does anyone know a way into the Alaska system? I'm really curious to take a look round. Cheers.

not without modding

The system can only be entered if you do the single player mission. After that it's closed again.

THere is a mod that makes MAJOR changes to Freelancer, one of them is making the Alaska system have a bunch more stuff in it, and it opens the jumpgate ofcourse.

So what? There is NOTHING to see in Alaska. Just some ice and a prison. A prison that's "Access denied".
