Hovis Race Bug

Greetings all,


In mission 6, after I have beaten Hovis, the game seems to freeze. Just as the race ends, the battle music is still playing, and I cannot dock with anything: The Hood, stargate etc. I am stil able to fly, and shoot, and mine, but the communication channels are silent, and I can do nothing else. When I try to dock, it does not say "Dock Denied", it says "Unable to dock". I have replayed this race 26 times now trying to find the answer. I have the Freelancer9c add on from Lancers Reactor, and nothing else. My Machine has the following specifications;

P4 2.4 Gig
1 gig ddr400 memory
Windows Xp Pro
Ati 9700 pro card
I would appreciate any feed back, including what is supposed to happen once you beat Hovis. I tried shooting one of the Race Track wepons platforms once, and then I got a "Mission Failed" message. Any suggestions please?

Do you have any mods installed??? If you do that could be the problem. My only recommendation is to uninstall FL completely, lose the user data and everything, if you want you can copy and paste your save games into a seperate safe folder, just incase.

Yes, I have the freelancer 9c mod from Lancers Reactor. Itried pulling everything off, and then putting it back on again to no avail. It is as if the game is waiting for me to do something. When I win the race the small "going through the last gate"ovie plays, I keep expecting Hovis to tell me what to do next, but no one speaks. The movie ends I am back in my ship, the battle music is playing and I cannnot dock, or talk to anyone. I cannot change zones because the stargates tell me "Unable to Dock". If I shoot one of the Weapons Platforms in the race area, it tells me mission failure. So I have a bug, or I am missing something that I am supposed to do.

probably the MOD.. some MODs make the storyline stop at a certain point.

Yeah, try without the mod. If that doesn't work, try saving the game after the race and reloading, see what it does.
