Best Shield for PvP

Sorry if this has already been answered (looked around... didn't see it)...

The TZD is very effective against the level 10 Advanced Brigandine shield as it is positron based. I remember reading somewhere that a graviton based shield is available somewhere, but that it is not a level 10 shield.

So that leads me to my questions...

1. Where is the highest level graviton shield available, what is it called, and what level shield is it? (Guess that's 3 questions...)

2. Is this graviton shield really better than the Advanced Brigandine in pvp against Tizona Del Cids? I'd be interested in hearing how many shots it takes from a TZD to take out the level 10 Advanced Brigandine shield, and how many shots it takes to take out the highest level graviton shield. If you'd like to meet on Elite to help me with this little experiment, let me know : )

The lvl 10 and lvl 9 graviton shield you can only get through editing the market_misc file. The level 8 graviton shield (Adv. Protector Graviton shield) you can get through buying a titan. The lvl 7 Graviton shield (Protector Graviton shield) you can buy on some rebel bases in rheinland space.

Just wondering... how does Tizona Del Cid become TZD?

Anyways, it doesn't matter what shield do you have if you're facing a Pulse Weapon.

I'd rather takea level 10 Positron shield than a Level 8 Gravitron...

The stats on the TDC says it is most effective against positron shields, and least effective against graviton. So what I'm really wondering is which one provides the greates protection from having your shields torn apart by the TDC: the level 7 graviton that comes on a Titan, or the level 10 Advanced Brigandine positron.

Just trying to figure out a good build-out for pvp. Thanks for helping a n00b.

Get the Lv 10 positron. No point having a good defense against the TDC if their other weapons tear your puny Lv 8 shield down.

I dont ever bother with the most/least effective against. Maybe i should but i've always just gone for the biggest guns and the hardest shields

If a weapon is 'most effective' it does base +20% damage to that shield.
'Least effective' means base -20% damage.

It would maybe matter more if you had a choice of c10 shields but since you dont, the brigande is going to come out top every time. Besides if they gave you 3 c10 shields to choose from there would probably be 3 c10 sheild eaters too.

My friend I tested the lvl 8 Graviton and the lvl 10 Positron shields against TDCs. The results were that both shields get take down as fast by them. It took the same amount of shots to take either shield down. The advantage of the Graviton would be that it takes less shield batteries to restore it. However, the Positron does better against other guns, like lvl 10s, so it is more usefull in pvp. SO my opinion is that the Positron is better even though it takes more damage from TDCs.

I think the questionis does the Adv. Champion Shield exist in multiplayer. And if so where can you get it.
