Erm..... could someone fill me in?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Erm..... could someone fill me in?

As I played through the game I either missed a news broadcast or was on the loo while a cutscene played or something, because the kidnap of the President of Liberty seemed a bit random and out of the blue to me.
So if i missed some of the plotline there could someone please explain it to me, I'm too lazy to go through the entire storyline again just to find it.
Thnx for any (pleasant) responses

Remember that almost all of the police & navy leaders got replaced during mission 3/4?

Well those new leaders were infected with a nomad, so instead of planting "a seed" right away, they captured and took her to the prison in Alaska, where she awaited to be "seeded" by the Rheinland chancellor.

News broadcast.

A couple of the late breaking news from Liberty mentions that President Jacobi is "missing", last seen at her home.

When the Rheinland Chancellor in the cutscene where he is grabbing the Liberty President's head and said a line, something like this:

"...I'm going to plan a seed in you...", it sounds so much like he's trying to erm... reproduce with the President... lol

and the way in which the table she's strapped to begins to rotate downwards only adds to the speculation......

Actually, the Chancellor says; "...plant a seed, as it were..." And technically, since the Nomads are identified as "oppertunistic parasites" that's probably how they do reproduce. Like in Alien, where the alien comes out of the human when it's "ripe". Pretty wierd stuff, eh?
