Anything left out of the game?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Anything left out of the game?

Is there anything that was supposed to be in the game, but was left out because of lack of time, money, and stuff, or was just left out for balance or other reasons?

At least weapon weight, but that's all I know...

Anything else?

apparentley there are systems that are included with the game installation but were left out of the actual game.

In the Files are different kind of scanners, powerplants, armor upgrades, engines, tractor beams, a repair robot and a cloaking device/cloak jammer
All but the repair robot and the cloak jammer can be manually changed so they are buyable, look in the Editing Forums how to do it

The two "Unknown" systems are speculated to have been started but never finished. This is supported by the fact that on Planet Gammu, some of the buttons do not work. Look for a post on this somewhere in this forum.

They left out the ability to manually roll your ship.

They also left out planetary motion and realistic scale. They could have implemented this, if jump gates took a player between planets (with trade lanes for interorbital travel). Larger gates at the outer edges of a system could, in turn, take you to other systems.

The only time I've seen realistic scale implemented was when I played Independence War. I only played it for an hour or so, but it was cool when a planet would start out as a tiny speck and suddenly loom up in front of you.
