Lonnigan.. Who was he really?

If you are stuck in a mission and do not know how to continue, this is the place to ask for help. Missing that elusive Level 10 Shield? Don''t know where to find the lost Ohtori ship? This is the only place where spoilers are allowed!

Calling Lonnigan the leader of the Order was probably media hype to boost sales

Lonnigan is someone who is dead, but STILL owes Trent 1 million credits.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

He was a trader that signed a deal with Trent (obviously). If you read Trents neural net log it says Trent has bought "a ton of Boron" and I think Lonnigan was a potential buyer. And his first name is Sam :p

The liberty police/navy (whichever it was) labelled him as Orillian to provide an excuse for his killing because of his knowledge of the artifact (that's the way i understood it anyway).

Lonnigan was actually somebody that asked trent to deliver 1 mil worth of alien artifact. Trent was flying a cargo train.

Anyway, the news is just a hoax, trying to make it look as if the LSF makes a great job. Oriilian if you notice, the real one, pop out in the Osiris.
I mean, Liberty is known for putting up hoax of news. Like in their history, a 1000 years ago, they attacked a country accused of having weapons of mass destruction and never found any weapons afterward. They were even on to this poor chap, Osama, accusing him of flying a plane into one of their major buildings, and that guy is still alive...

Typical liberty. They even kept quiet about the lose of Osiris.

humans don't evovle much after a 1000 years.

and..Orillion seems to be the only brunnette in the game..

Nope, Boron.

Sam Lonnigan was just a border world trader who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. He witnessed the Nomad ships decloaking and shooting Freeport 7 -- "there were these ships, but they weren't there..."

Nomad controlled officials in Liberty labelled him as Orillion to get the LSF and Navy to hunt him down.

He knew too much, like the smoking guy, he died too. (from small arms fire, not cancer) Also it made it look like the Order was not doing too well and it would get people to not think about Schultsky and the other suspicious events too closely. And yes it was Boron.

Heh.some of you guys really haven't read up on your rumours.First off trent was never an uber pilot he used to work in the shop for Tobias fixing other people's ships when he got plain tired of it so he wanted to to get rich quick. He bought an ore processor from some guy which contained about a ton of boron in which he was trying to sell. This is where Lonnigan comes in representing Samura Industries who might be interested in purchasing the boron so they decide to meet on Planet Kurile to talk things over. When the talks were over on Planet Kurile they were suppose to meet a day later on Freeport 7 to finalize the deal in which trent would be given a million credits & Lonnigan representing Samura Industries would be given the Boron.

Heh,I can Imagine if the deal had fallen through trent could've went to the other Zoner's base freeport 9 bought an Eagle w/fury 2's or 3's come back to Freeport 7 just in the nick of time to save the day.

Anyway I think the strangest thing that happened before Freeport 7 was why were there Liberty Heavy fighters in the Sigma 13 system since this is where you'd usually find a bunch of corsairs in Centurions or Outcats in Stilletos.
